LAWSON, Justice. The appellant, Edward F. Dunn, indicted and tried for killing his former wife, Shirley Dunn, was convicted
of murder in the first degree and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. The deceased was shot six times with a pistol. The shooting took place on the third floor of a newspaper building in Montgomery
shortly after ten o'clock on the morning of September 4, 1962.
